From #1 New York Times bestselling author Debbie Macomber comes the first book in a new series set in the beloved Pacific Northwest town of Cedar Cove.

Also from Debbie Macomber: watch the new original series Cedar Cove on Hallmark Channel, Saturdays at 8:00/7:00c, starting July 20.

Her first guest is Joshua Weaver, who has come home to care for his ailing stepfather. The two have never seen eye to eye, and Joshua has little hope that they can reconcile their differences. Jo Marie’s other guest is Abby Kincaid, who has returned to Cedar Cove to attend her brother’s wedding. Back for the first time in twenty years, she almost wishes she hadn’t come, the picturesque town harboring painful memories. And as Abby and Joshua try to heal from their pasts, and Jo Marie dreams of the possibilities before her, they all realize that life moves in only one direction—forward.

The Prayer Box By Lisa Wingate Win it before you can buy it!

A young woman, an old woman, the story of a lifetime.

When Iola Anne Poole, an old-timer on Hatteras Island, passes away in her bed at ninety-one, the struggling young mother in her rental cottage, Tandi Jo Reese, finds herself charged with the task of cleaning out Iola's rambling Victorian house.

Running from a messy, dangerous past, Tandi never expects to find more than a temporary hiding place within Iola's walls, but everything changes with the discovery of eighty-one carefully decorated prayer boxes, one for each year, spanning from Iola's youth to her last days. Hidden in the boxes is the story of a lifetime, written on random bits of paper--the hopes and wishes, fears and thoughts of an unassuming but complex woman passing through the seasons of an extraordinary, unsung life filled with journeys of faith, observations on love, and one final lesson that could change everything.

THE UNOFFICIAL BIO: A special first grade teacher, Mrs. Krackhardt, made a writer out of me. That may sound unlikely, but it's true. It's possible to find a calling when you're still in pigtails and Mary Jane shoes, and to know it's your calling. I was halfway through the first grade when I landed in Mrs. Krackhardt's classroom. I was fairly convinced there wasn't anything all that special about me... and then, Mrs. Krackhardt stood over my desk and read a story I was writing. She said things like, "This is a great story! I wonder what happens next?"

It isn't every day a shy new kid gets that kind of attention. I rushed to finish the story, and when I wrote the last word, the teacher took the pages, straightened them on the desk, looked at me over the top, and said, "You are a wonderful writer!"

A dream was born. Over the years, other dreams bloomed and died tragic, untimely deaths. I planned to become an Olympic gymnast or win the National Finals Rodeo, but there was this matter of back flips on the balance beam and these parents who stubbornly refused to buy me a pony. Yet the writer dream remained. I always believed I could do it because... well... my first grade teacher told me so, and first grade teachers don't lie.

So, that is my story, and if you are a teacher, or know a teacher, or ever loved a special teacher, I salute you from afar and wish you days be filled with stories worth telling and stories worth reading.

I have to say I don't think Lisa could ever write a bad book. She is a extraordinary author.
I so enjoyed The prayer Box, it was fabulously written so much so I could not put it down. I fell in love with Tandi Jo and the whole idea of prayer boxes was so much fun.
Have you ever thought about having a prayer box? This book is sure to change  your mind  if you said no.
I gave this book 5 stars and I wish that I could give it more.
I highly recommend this book.

I am a retired school teacher with a BA in Education and a MA in Counseling. We live and travel in our RV, so my resourceful husband took the couch out and set up a writing desk with two filing cabinets for me. I had never written fiction until the Lord put a story in my heart. When I told it to my daughter one day, she suggested I write it. That was the spark I needed. I love to write stories in which Christian men and women find victory in their lives through the power of God. I've written two other novels before the Bellewood Series Desert Breeze is publishing. Besides writing, I scrapbook, make cards, and enjoy my sixteen grandchildren.

Let me start by saying we all know someone in our life like Holly and just like Jess. These are characters that we can all relate to they are not some impossible made up people who are to good to be true.

Lainy Lane is a 27-year-old mother of 2 beautiful girls, one of which is now the family guardian angel. She has a wonderful husband that is a large part of the reason she is where she is today. She has always had an obsession with fantasy worlds. When she was younger, she always said that Peter Pan would be the perfect man because when things got rough, he could whisk you away to Neverland, where all your problems would simply disappear. As she grew up, she learned the harsh reality that life can be cruel, and no world (even fantasy ones) is completely without issues and that was when her love for writing really grew. She has always written in some form or fashion, starting out with poetry and song lyrics. She’s always had a story in her head and voices talking to her. Thanks to lots of motivation from her husband, a wonderful laptop with a word processor, more hours than she could ever count, lots of sweat, blood, and tears, and blessings from the Lord God Almighty, she has finally managed to watch her dreams become a reality.

What an emotional book. Are you ready to cry your eyes out?
This book is sure to touch your heart on many levels.
Lainy was a new author for me and I am so glad that I took the chance and read her book.
